Shortly before their second wedding anniversary, Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill announced they are calling it quits!
Rumors were circulating over the last few days that the former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum, 55, and the Black News Channel host, 52, called it quits. Now, we know it’s over for sure.
The former couple announced in a joint statement to Entertainment Tonight that they voluntarily decided to separate after noticing they were drifting apart.
“LOVE is a beautiful thing. While we both will always have love for one another, we have decided to go our separate ways,” they said in an official statement. “We are grateful that we remain good friends, and will always cherish the many memories we’ve shared together as husband and wife.
“Many of you have been on this journey with us from the very beginning, and we appreciate our family, friends and beloved fans for your positive support as we move forward and start new chapters. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!”
Cynthia and Mike also posted the statement on his Instagram accounts:
The former couple also released solo statements to PEOPLE, sharing the split was amicable and that they still have love for one another.
”God does not make mistakes! I truly believe in my heart Mike coming into my life was destiny. I jumped in, both feet first and gave it my all,” Cynthia told PEOPLE. "Although that journey has come to an end, I am so grateful for our continued friendship, and the beautiful memories that we made together. God willing, I will find love again. Whatever is destined to be, will be; and I could not be more excited for my next chapter!"
”I pray my friends, family, and fans will continue to be along for the ride with me in this awesome thing we call 'life!' Thank you for your continued prayers, support, and well wishes."
Mike Hill also provided a statement to the publication, saying, "I love Cynthia and will always love her because she is a phenomenal woman and a beautiful person. Even though our relationship is ending, our friendship remains rock solid and for that I am grateful," he continued. "Honestly, we've been thinking about going our separate ways for the last few months, so it was good for us both to have that time to process it all privately and I can smile knowing she'll always be there for me as I will be for her."

Last week, fans noticed Cynthia removed Mike’s last name from her Instagram. Before the split, she was going by “Cynthia Bailey-Hill." Also, the former couple’s two-year anniversary was October 10th and neither of them acknowledged it. Remember how obsessed Cynthia was over tying the knot on 10/10/2020 during Season 13 of “RHOA?”
There are rumors that Cynthia Bailey is returning to “RHOA.” With divorce news breaking, we def could see her making a return.
Over the years, reality show fans have watched Cynthia navigate her way through love during her previous marriage to Peter Thomas from 2010 to 2017. She also shares a daughter, Noelle, with her actor ex-Leon Robinson.

Amid reports that Mike & Cynthia are divorcing, a video was posted by one of Mike’s friends at a birthday party over the weekend. A professional pole dancer used him and his homie as human poles. Mike wasn’t wearing his ring but they appear to be on good terms as Cynthia has been commenting on his IG posts as recently as last week.
