THE G.O.A.T. IS HERE! Serena Williams just became the Wimbledon 2015 champion! Deets on her 'Serena Slam' inside...
With 122 MPH serves, there was no way Serena Williams was losing today. After a more intense match than expected against Garbine Muguruza of Spain moments ago at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London, Serena won her 6th Wimbledon championship!
Serena defeated her newbie opponent 6-4, 6-4 to win her fourth consecutive Grand Slam tournament, beginning with last year's U.S. Open and including this year's Australian and French open titles.
She's 33... and showing absolutely NO sign of slowing down. Next up: The U.S. Open in New York kicking off August 31st. If (well, when) she wins, she'll go down in history as the first woman since Steffi Graf (in 1988) to win all 4 of the major tournaments in one calendar year. She'll be only the fourth person overall in tennis history to do so.
We're ALL the way here for it. Congrats Serena!
