Erica Campbell made her way to Tamron Hall's show yesterday and revealed how she and her husband Warryn Campbell navigated past his infidelity. It's...interesting. Watch inside.
Singer Erica Campbell is now solo after her fame with Mary Mary, and she's on the promo trail for her new book and new reality show. She visited "The Tamron Hall Show" yesterday to talk about all of that, plus her husband's infidelity and their journey to reconciliation
Erica said she suspected Warryn was cheating, and he then confessed saying he was unfaithful years back. He thought if he just moved forward, he would get past it. But he couldn't find peace. She said she remembered her commitment and vows she made in front of God:
I asked myself "is he a mistake or did he make a mistake? And I believe he’s a good man that made a mistake. And there's a difference.”
She said "it got dark for a bit" because she was done and ready to leave since she had her own money. They went to therapy, with their Bishop and other married couples, and realized he was irresponsible and selfish but she was "consumed with her work." He told her he wanted her to be home with him more, and she responded saying she had to work and a tour to complete. Erica revealed:
"It would have been different if we were fine and vacationing and having great sex and all this stuff. But I know for sure that we were detached. We were both in work mode. But work mode, he still needed me, and I wasn't available. He said I could have gotten on a plane, I could have come to you, and said I need you because I'm struggling."
She says now they're in "an amazing place."
