Miss Jessie's co-founder Miko Branch is leveling some heavy accusations against her deceased sister's boyfriend, blaming him for her sister's suicide and claiming he's after Titi's $2 Million life insurance policy! Find out about their shocking legal battle inside...
A few months ago, TheYBF.com reported on the death of Titi Branch, the co-founder of the wildly successful hair care line Miss Jessie's. Titi hung herself in her Midtown apartment on Dec. 4, 2014 and news about her death saddened fans and followers all around the world. Her sister and business partner Miko, posted a loving tribute as well.
Sadly, Titi's name is in the headlines again...for some troubling reasons. Miko Branch is gearing up for a legal battle with Titi's former boyfriend Anthony Spadafora whom she blames for her sister's suicide.
In Manhattan Supreme Court Papers (reported via The New York Post), Miko claims Anthony isolated Titi from family and friends who loved her, and help ushered her down a road of depression she couldn't escape from.
She also claims Anthony treated Titi like a human ATM and has "receipts" showing how he benefitted from their relationship. Miko claims Anthony:
- used "undue influence" to convince Titi to make him the beneficiary of her $2 million in life-insurance policy
- managed to “extract” hundreds of thousands of dollars to launch his own beard-care business, Maestro’s Classics;
- received $420,000 to buy and renovate a Pennsylvania house;
- accepted a $135,000 interest-free loan.
Miko told the NY Post, “My sister’s death has been a devastating blow. It was only after Titi’s death that we learned more about what she’d been going through and how her affairs were being managed.”
Now we've seen the tally of what Anthony got from dating Titi...what did she receive? “In exchange, [she] received nothing,” Miko says.
Miko also says Anthony plays dirty. When Titi threatened to kick him to the curb (after her sexually propositioned her trainer), Anthony "took extreme measures to stop her . . . sending compromising photographs that he had taken of her.” And after Titi passed, Anthony sent an "email" to Miko and Titi's parents claiming Titi gave him 50 percent of everything in her "new" will.
Wait....there's more.
He also confiscated Titi's computer and only returned it in exchange for her expensive Cartier bracelet. Once the family turned the computer on, they found that the hard drive had been scrubbed clean. SMH...he's a real class act.
In his defense, Anthony told the Post, “They’re trying to paint me as a villain. It was a real love . . . I was dedicated to her; she was dedicated to me."
SIDEBAR: A quick look at the Instagram for Anthony Spadafora and the company Titi's money helped fund (Maestro's Classic) doesn't mention Titi at all. Odd.....for a grieving boyfriend who is so "dedicated."
For what it's worth, Anthony told the Post, “I don’t want to see this turn into a war.” Neither do we........
We will keep you posted about their legal dispute.....
