Two weeks ago, engaged WNBA stars Brittney Griner and Glory Johnson were both in cuffs and snapping mugshots after a serious domestic altercation. Yesterday, they were snapping their wedding pics at their Phoenix nuptials.

Well, that was quick. It seems to be a trend amongst professional athletes to fight hard one day...to the point of it getting physical and leading to arrests...and get married the next.
Taking a page out of Ray & Janay Rice's book, Phoenix Mercury baller Brittney Griner ( in and Tulsa Shock forward Glory Johnson (in a strapless champagne gown with a small train by Matthew Christopher) tied the knot just a few weeks after their physical altercation led to their arrests. But everything appears to be all good now.
The twosome and their 75 wedding guests trekked it to a mountaintop in Phoenix on Friday to get hitched beneath an archway at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort.
People magazine described the nuptials saying:
Bouquets and arrangements of white hydrangea, white and coral roses, and peach hypericum berries helped establish their theme of "desert elegance" in the city where Griner plays center for the three-time WNBA champion Phoenix Mercury.
...After the ceremony, they celebrated with a sit-down dinner on the resort's Falls Terrace, followed by a tiered cake dessert that combined Griner's favorite, white cake, with Johnson's favorite, red velvet.
As for the domestic violence charges that were recently dismissed after Brittney accepted a plea deal to enroll in domestic violence counseling, with her new wife voluntarily entering as well, Brittney says this in a statement:
"It is never OK for an argument to turn physical. This will never happen again, and I take my relationship and my responsibility as a role model seriously."
"I am committed to making positive changes and I plan to use what I have learned to set a good example and help make a difference in the world around me," she added.
