Drake's having the best week ever over in London. From attending Serena Williams' Wimbledon matches alongside Ciara, to headlining festivals to dropping an epic video, it's a lot going on for Champagne Papi. But did Serena just squash any chance of them ever being a couple? Kinda. Check it inside...
Yesterday while Serena was kicking ass and taking names on the Wimbledon court, Drake was front and center in her viewing box. Again. In fact, she's showed up to damn near all her matches since Wimbledon started.
Yesterday, he sat with Serena's bestie Ciara, And cheered on the champ after taking her out to a celebratory dinner a few nights before:
But don't get too many ideas, even though Drake has definitely spoken about on Serena in a few lyrics.
On "Worst Behavior" he raps, "I swear I could beat Serena when she playing with her left."
And then there's that line on J. Cole's "In The Morning", "I mean that thing is poking, I mean you kinda like that girl that's in the US Open..."
Mmmhmm. But Serena appears to be in a relationship with her coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, not that boyfriends have stopped Drake before.
When Drizzy showed up at Serena's press conference yesterday, somebody had to ask what's going on with them. Entertainment Tonight reports:
When a reporter (via The Associated Press) questioned Williams as to whether Drake was her "lucky mascot," the "Know Yourself" rapper awkwardly laughed and put his hands in his face. The tennis pro rolled her eyes.
"We've been friends for, like, so many years," Williams responded. "Just like family."
Oh.
