Evelyn Lozada’s daughter Shaniece Hairston has booked a major gig in the modeling world. Carving out her own lane, she just signed on with Wilhelmina Models and is super excited about it.
In other news, BRAVO’s “What What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen is speaking out about calling Amandla Stenberg’s feud with Kylie Jenner “Jackhole of the Day.” Sighs…deets inside….
We know her as reality star Evelyn Lozada’s eldest child. But, Shaniece Hairston is trying to emerge from the reality-filled shadows of her mother and make her own lane.
The 22-year-old reality star, who now appears on her mother’s docu-series “Livin’ Lozada,” just landed a major gig that incorporates her love for fashion. She just signed on with Wilhelmina Models. And she’s uber excited about it.
The beautiful Bronx native, who has turned her non-stop fitness posts from the gym and posting outfits on Instagram into a gig, made the announcement via her personal website:
I’m so unbelievably excited and proud to announce that I just signed on with Wilhelmina Models! I think I’m still in shock LOL. This is an absolute dream come true for me and I am so grateful for this opportunity. I feel truly blessed.
Stay tuned for updates as I embark upon this incredible new chapter in my life — I’ll definitely be blogging about it!
Xo, Sha
On top of her new modeling contract, she’s also creating her own swimsuit line that is set to be released in 2016. Once the line is launched, she hopes to expand her brand to include footwear, jewelry, intimates, sleepwear and home décor.
Congrats Shaniece!
Switching gears...
“WWHL” host and executive producer Andy Cohen is speaking out after the backlash he received from his latest controversial episode. While chopping it up with “Orange is the New Black” star Laverne Cox and fashion legend Andre Leon Talley, Andy did his usual “Jackhole of the Day” segment, but viewers were not pleased with who he chose to call out during the segment.
Andy seemingly gave “Jackhole of the Day” to 16-year-old Hunger Games star Amandla Stenberg over her feud with Kylie Jenner over cultural appropriation. If you missed of all of those deets click HERE and HERE.
Viewers took to Twitter and started a hashtag #BoycottBRAVO after Andy’s comments, and now he is finally speaking out about the situation. After getting called out by numerous people on social media, he decided to respond to one and here’s what he said,
“I actually called them both out. It was stupid and a way to get my guests to weigh in on the cornrows. I didn’t mean a thing by it.”
OH. We definitely didn't garner from his little speech that he was coming for Kylie Jenner as well. Thoughts?
