Another day, another baller acting up!

Things went from bad to worse for freshman Florida State University quarterback De’Andre Johnson.  He was on deck to be in the starting lineup in a few seasons, now...his future looks bleak.

A shocking surveillance video has surfaced of Deandre PUNCHING a woman in the face at a bar! And now, FSU has suspended him…indefinitely!

Here’s what allegedly went down….

On June 24th, the 19-year-old freshman baller was involved in an altercation with a female patron inside Tallahassee bar Yiannis. From what we can see from the full video, De’Andre and a woman were engaged in a verbal altercation. We’re not exactly sure what caused the argument, but next thing you know, he’s restraining her, she’s yelling and tries to hit him (likely a move to escape and in self defense), and then he PUNCHES her.  Hard.

The Tallahasse Democrat serves up the deets via court documents:

The incident occurred while the woman was waiting in line for a drink at Yianni's nightclub and felt Johnson push past her aggressively, court records say.

When she addressed him at the bar, she raised her arm to defend herself, and he grabbed her arm and began pushing her. She raised her knee into his midsection to push him away and attempted to punch him, court records say, before Johnson punched her on the left side of her face.

The woman suffered bruising near her left eye, swelling of the left cheek and upper lip, and a small cut near the bridge of her nose, according to court records.

Johnson left the bar after the incident and the woman remained.

 

Damn shame.

On June 30th, he turned himself in to police at the Leon County Jail where he was held on a $500 bond, which he eventually posted. After viewing the shocking footage, State Attorney Willie Meggs said he decided to charge Johnson with a misdemeanor.

FSU released a statement that revealed De’Andre has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of "athletic department policy.”

The Tallahassee Police Department says it’s still an ongoing investigation, releasing a statement which reads,

"We are treating this case like we treat all other cases," TPD spokesman David Northway said in a phone interview with the Tallahassee Democrat on Friday.

"We redacted it, per Florida statute. And we had to release the victim's name because she did not fall into an exemption, and we're not allowed to just take their names out. And we had to — we had — to redact the suspect's name in the case because it's an ongoing investigation."

We checked De’Andre’s social media to see if he decided to share his side, but we didn’t come up with much. He hasn’t used his Twitter account since before the incident and his Instagram account is set to private.
