John Singleton is NOT letting up on the new Tupac biopic. Get into his latest epic shade he dropped on the film, plus a new flick from Tyler Perry & Taraji P. Henson...
It's no secret director John Singleton isn't here for the new All Eyez On Me film. He went all the way in on it right before its premiere. Then, the film's director Benny Boom and producer L.T. Hutton popped back saying John is just mad because he was previously linked to the biopic, but wanted to add in rape scenes that they weren't feeling.
Now, John has more words. He appeared on Big Tigger's show on V103 in Atlanta this morning to say he can't believe people are listening to Benny and co. over him. John said:
"They just mde a movie and they didn't think of it as a cultural event."
He went on to say:
"These cats get on the radio and start disparaging my name...and people start listening to them....and they aint never made no movies..."
Sheesh. Benny's made plenty of movies, but still.
John put the nail in the coffin saying, "They made the 'Aaliyah movie' version of Pac. Worse than that."
Damn!
The All Eyez On Me shade begins at the 7:00 mark above.
In other movie news, Tyler Perry tapped his I Can Do Bad By Myself star Taraji P. Henson for a new film called She's Living My Life.
The flick is set to hit theaters Easter weekend March 30th. THR says about the plot:
The drama sees Henson playing a faithful wife who, after growing tired of standing by her devious husband, gets enraged when it becomes clear she has been betrayed.
The "Empire" star never stops working. Get these coins, T!
