Yara Shahidi is rocking her crimson proudly, because she's the newest member of the Harvard University student body. Woot! Get into her big college reveal inside...
Our fave "blackish" teen activist (who will also be going to college on TV next fall in her new spinoff "College-ish" on Freeform) has made her college decision. After getting into every school she applied to, Yara Shahidi is going to Harvard!
Along with commenting on Harvard's Instagram page lately, the YBF Teen posted up a pic rocking the school's merch to let everyone know it's real. She captioned the above pic, #CrimsonPride.
The University posted about a recent graduate on IG saying:
“Damon Clark ’17 is a Native American and concentrated in social studies at Harvard.”
Yara commented:
“Love this! Can’t wait to be a social studies major.”
It's interesting because she totally spoke her dreams into existence back in 2015:
Inspiring!
Also, Yara actually confirmed the Harvard news days ago, during an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the Inspiration Awards:
We're sure Harvard alum and former FLOTUS Michelle Obama -- who wrote one of Yara's recommendation letters by the way -- is proud! We can't wait to see pics of Malia Obama, who will be a Harvard freshman this fall, and Yara, who will attend after her gap year, chillin' on campus together.
The curly cutie revealed back in April that she'll be double majoring in African American Studies and Sociology. Get it!
Meanwhile, Yara's busy being Yara. She's putting her naturally gorgeous looks and personality, in combination with her activism, to use in a new GAP campaign directed by British Vogue editor Edward Enninful. Check out the folks celebrating diversity below:
