Wendy Williams' post-marriage glow up continues. The newly single woman - who filed for divorce from her husband Kevin Hunter last week - is creating her "new life" and getting rid of all negative energy around her. She's cleaning house.
After speculation that her estranged husband Kevin Hunter would get the boot, it has been confirmed that he's no longer with the "WENDY" show. TMZ says a "WENDY" spokesperson told them, "Kevin Hunter is no longer an executive producer on 'The Wendy Williams Show.'"
A spokesperson also spilled to PEOPLE, adding, "Debmar-Mercury wishes him well in his future endeavors."
However, Entertainment Tonight & US Weekly claims he was fired. Either way, he's out of there. His services are no longer needed.
Wendy's staff is reportedly relieved he's gone:
“It’s like a weight lifted off everyone’s shoulders,” a source spills to Us Weekly. “Kevin’s toxicity was dragging everyone down. … While the future is somewhat unclear, what is clear is that Wendy has a huge support system comprised of her staff, industry colleagues and family.”
Before the official news dropped, there were rumors Kevin was negotiating a deal for a payout before leaving the show. Now, word on the curb is that he reached a settlement. And a hefty one at that.
A source reveals to BOSSIP that Kevin will receive "around $10 million to go away quietly." The source claims his departure was more of a mutual parting and that he wasn't fired like previously reported from various sites.
After Wendy pulled the trigger on their divorce, Kevin issued a public apology to her, saying he was remorseful for his actions. Hmph. As you know, he allegedly had a baby with his alleged mistress for 10+ years Sherina Hudson.
Oh, and get this. A week before Wendy sent Kevin his divorce papers, she reportedly hired a security team to ensure her safety daily. Three bodyguards watched over her while she prepped for the show and while she was filming. Not even mad.
TMZ reports:
“We’re told Wendy initially hired a personal security team about a week before she served him with divorce papers because there had been a number of blowups between them leading up to her filing,” the outlet reports. “In at least one instance, our sources say things got so heated, Kevin had to be restrained.”
Glad he's gone for her sake.
If you watch the show, she definitely appears to be in a better space. Hopefully she continues on this postive streak and keeps creating this "whole new life" with her son. Best revenge is your paper.
