It's official official! Jay-Z is a BILLIONAIRE and he's the first rap artist to secure a bag to this magnitude. More inside...
All this winnin'! And money!
Jay-Z is a certified VET in the game. And not just in Hip Hop. The businessman has his hands in several different companies.
The Brooklyn native is the poster child of not being a businessman, but a business, man! He went from selling drugs in Marcy's housing projects, to becoming a rapper who started his own record label (Roc-A-Fella Records), to becoming the highest paid hip hop artist ever.
Now, he's a billionaire! You read the right, BILLIONAIRE.
According to Forbes, the musician-turned-Hip Hop mogul has accumulated a fortune that totals $1 billion. His fortune, which we're sure was amplified after marrying the hottest chick in the game Beyoncé Knowles, has allowed him to join a small circle of entertainers who have become billionaires. And he's the FIRST Hip Hop artist to ever do it.
Boss!
Hov's steadily growing empire is expansive, encompassing liquor, art, music (Tidal, Roc Nation, multiple tours, etc.), real estate (homes in Los Angeles, the Hamptons, Tribeca), restuarants (40/40 club) and stakes in companies like Uber (who just went public).

He covered Forbes back in 2010 as he was well on his way to this point, around the same time he had an epic, private sit down convo with Warren Buffett. Sounds like it paid off almost a decade later.
Here's his billionaire fortune breakdown:
Armand de Brignac - $310 million
Cash & investments - $220 million
D’Ussé - $100 million
Tidal - $100 million
Roc Nation - $75 million
Music catalog - $75 million
Art collection - $70 million
Real estate - $50 million
Sheesh!
Congrats, Hov! We would say we need the blueprint, but he's been mapping it out right in front of our eyes for decades. We're definitely taking notes!
