Newlywed Idris Elba Admits Wedding Planning Was A 'Headache,' Gushes About DJ Gig At Meghan & Harry's Royal Wedding

While many of us are still wiping our tears and accepting the fact that Idris Elba is really off the market, the British actor and his wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba seem to be as happy as ever. While the couple definitely appears to be madly in love, the Hobbs & Shaw actor recently admitted that wedding planning wasn’t his favorite.

He did speak very highly of his wife, calling her a “champion” during the planning process, while he was often away working - undoubtedly to cover the cost of their lavish, Moroccan wedding, which was captured by British VOGUE.

In a recent interview on weekday morning show "Lorraine," Idris shared that despite the stress of planning and preparation, the wedding was still a great time.

"Would you really? The headache? The stress? Oh my god my wife she was a champion. She took a lot on her shoulders because I was working a lot but it was a great day," he shared.

All in all, the day was perfect.

"We had an amazing wedding; my whole family, friends, work network, we were all there and we had a good time!', he shared.

The 46-year-old actor - who is a disc jockey on the side - also gushed about his DJ gig during Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's royal wedding last year.

"I mean I feel very privileged to have played for my friend Harry and Meghan’s wedding they had an amazing time. I was part of that they had a great time you can't ask for more as a DJ to be asked to do that."
