Antonio Brown is going off on Twitter! He says he's DONE with the NFL and he's firing shots at folks who have been accused of sexual assault, yet, still have their jobs. Get into his early morning Twitter rant inside...
The drama continues with the ongoing Antonio Brown saga.
The New England Patriots released him on Friday amid sexual assault and rape allegations. And now, he’s showing out on social media.
This morning, AB tweeted he will no longer play in the NFL and then he fired shots at New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft. Oop!
"Will not be playing in the @NFL anymore these owners can cancel deals do whatever they want at anytime we will see if the @NFLPA hold them accountable sad they can just void guarantees anytime going on 40m 2 months will see if they pay up !," he tweeted.
He's seemingly referring to the $29 million in guaranteed money he was set to receive from the Raiders and the $9 million signing bonus from the Patriots. Sources say he will not be receiving any of that money.
The Raiders pulled the plug on his guaranteed millions for "detrimental conduct" and the Pats are reportedly planning to withhold his signing bonus "based on a representation warranty clause that calls for a player to disclose any situations that might prevent continued availability," according to ESPN.
NIKE and Xenith – a football helmet manufacturer - have both cut ties with the NFL star amide the sexual assault and rape allegations.
AB is being sued by his former trainer Britney Taylor. She filed a civil complaint in the US District Court in Miami on September 10th, accusing him of two sexual assault incidents in 2017 and rape in 2018. The lawsuit was filed three days after AB forced a trade from the Oakland Raiders to the New England Patriots. It was reported AB rejected to sign a $2 million settlement with Britney before she filed the lawsuit.
The wide receiver was also accused of sexual misconduct by an artist in a story published by Sports Illustrated earlier this week.
Days after the story broke, AB allegedly sent the anonymous artist threatening text messages - messages that referenced both herself and her children in a group chat.

The woman previously told SI that Brown had hired her two years ago to paint a mural of him in his home but “ghosted” her after she ignored his advance. On Wednesday night, the woman says, she received a group text message that appeared to come from the same phone number Brown provided to her in 2017. The text chain, with four other phone numbers on it, included photos of her and her children, with the person she believes is Brown encouraging others in the group to investigate the woman. The texter accused the artist of fabricating her account of the 2017 incident for cash. (In her letter to the league, the woman’s attorney repeated that the artist is not seeking remuneration from Brown in connection with the alleged incident.)
The woman's lawyer then sent a letter to the NFL about the alleged text messages, demanding they take action against the wide receiver:
On Thursday evening, Lisa J. Banks, a lawyer for the artist, sent a letter to the NFL seeking an end to what she termed conduct by Brown that is “intimidating and threatening to our client, in violation of the NFL Personal Conduct Policy.”
“Our client ... is understandably frightened by these text messages, which are clearly intended to threaten and intimidate her,” the lawyer wrote. “While she certainly qualifies as a ‘starving artist,’ she has never approached Mr. Brown, nor will she, about seeking money to compensate her for his sexual misconduct, contrary to his allegations in the text messages.”
After announcing he wouldn't be playing in the NFL, AB started firing shots at folks who have also been accused of sexual assault, but still have their jobs. He popped off about Pats owner Robert Kraft pending case over solicitation charges for allegedly receiving a sex act at a massage parlor. (For the record, we 100% believed he should have been punished for this and still baflfled about why he wasn't.) He also fired shots at his former Steelers teammate, Ben Roethlisberger, about his four-game suspension in 2010 for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy based on a sexual assault accusation.
He didn't stop there either. He also fired shots at "FS1" host Shannon Sharpe over sexual assault allegations made against him in 2010:
