“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams was honored after announcing she’s on board to be an advocate for March of Dimes. See the luncheon flicks inside…
Porsha Williams is using her platform to raise awareness to a cause she holds close to her heart.
The 38-year-old first-time mom has jumped on board to become an advocate of March of Dimes, which is an organization that works to improve the health of mothers and babies by supporting research, lead programs and provide education and advocacy so that every baby can have the best possible start. Now, she’s being honored.

The Go Naked Hair honcho was honored at a rainbow luncheon hosted by March of Dimes in Atlanta. She was joined by March of Dimes President and CEO Stacey D. Stewart, as well as a group of close friends.

During the lunch, Porsha shared her own experience of loss during pregnancy and her later joys after giving birth to her daughter, Pilar Jhena, in March. The rainbow theme for the lunch celebrates Pilar as a rainbow baby, a healthy baby born after a miscarriage or infant loss.

As an advocate for March of Dimes, Porsha will be using her voice to fight for healthy moms and strong babies. She’ll be raising awareness that the United States is in the midst of a maternal and child health crisis when each day, two women will die due to pregnancy-related causes.

Of course, Porsha's 6-month-old daughter Pilar - who she shares with on-again fiance Dennis McKinley - was in attendance with her mommy. Just a few days ago, Pilar tried solid foods for the first time:
Aww!
