If what’s being reported is true, Stephen A. Smith is about to secure one hell of a bag thanks to ESPN. Deets on his possible “tens of millions of dollars” deal inside…
Well Stephen A. Smith is movin' on up! Rolling in dough is about to have a whole new meaning for the sports analyst.
According to The Big Lead, the “First Take” commentator is reportedly about to close a mega deal extension with ESPN that would secure him a spot with the network through 2025. And listen, this isn’t just any old deal. Stephen A. Smith could lock in a contract with ESPN that could possibly be worth “tens of millions of dollars!” Damn!
A source told the site the deal isn’t 100% finalized, but the blockbuster deal is very promising. He's now in line to becoming the highest paid on-air talent in ESPN history.
Stephen was up for contract negotiations since his old one runs out next year. With his new contract in place, fans won’t have to guess which ESPN show he’ll pop up on, like "SportsCenter," NBA coverage, etc. With his new contract, there will reportedly be a more standardized schedule for TV appearances.
And it has already begun…
