We just need to know how she made her 2019 vision board. Jennifer Lopez is closing out 2019 with a bang! It has been announced that she’s the new global face of Coach! Deets on her new gig, why she didn’t get "paid" for starring in Hustlers and more inside…
Before 2019 comes to an end, Jennifer Lopez has an announcement! Well, like 5 of 'em.
The 50-year-old stunna is now the new global face of Fench luxury brand, Coach. In her new role, she will be featured in several upcoming campaign for leather goods, ready-to-wear and footwear, which will be shot by famed fashion photographer Juergen Teller. The Spring 2020 collection just launched too. Check it:
“I’m so excited for this collaboration with Coach,” JLo said in a press release announcing the partnership. “It is a timeless brand that I’ve always been a fan of and the upcoming collection really speaks to my personal style — an uptown downtown mix.”
It’s like a full circle moment for the entertainer as she carried armfuls of Coach bags in her 2002 video for “All I Have.”
It’s been one hell of a year for JLo. She got engaged to her man Alex Rodriguez in March, she starred in Hustlers, she’s set to perform for the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show alongside Shakira, and she also closed out the Versace fashion show in Milan wearing her infamous Versace gown that she wore in 2000.
Speaking of Hustlers, she recently revealed she didn't even get paid to star in the movie. Whet?! Well, not paid paid. She did get paid, but not a lot of money as the lead star. While chopping it up in GQ's Men of the Year issue - where she was just named Icon of the Year - she explained why she didn't get loads of dough for the role.
"I didn’t get paid a whole bunch of money for Hustlers," she said.
The reason?
"I did it for free and produced it. Like Jenny from the Block—I do what I love."
Chick made a bet on herself that the movie would be great. But let's be clear, she knew she would get paid on the back end as a producer, and likely into perpetuity. And she knew it would position her to nab an Oscar nomination, which it had. So the investment was worth it.
"It became a movement," JLo said. "This is our movie, where we run shit. They know it's all women producers, woman director, woman writer, all women starring in it. We've been watching men take advantage of women in movies for a long time, so it was a fun ride to see the tables turned."
