Salute! Meghan Markle joined her husband Prince Harry during the Field of Remembrance ceremony for the first time. Their flicks inside, plus how the Duchess suffered a makeup mishap….
Meghan Markle joined her husband Prince Harry at the Field of Remembrance service held at Westminster Abbey for the first time following two solo appearances made by the Duke of Sussex.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were participants in the annual event that honors former service men and women those who have lost their lives in action. People come to the event to plant a cross that features a personal message in memory of the lives lost while in the service. It’s one of the first events to kick off a series of ceremonies leading up to Remembrance Sunday, which will see the entire royal family step out for a poignant ceremony.
Per usual, the former “Suits” star served up royal glam in a dark blue wrap coat Sentaler’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection paired with a matching fascinator from Philip Treacy. Simply, gorge.
During the service, the Duke & Duchess of Sussex placed their own personal crosses in the garden and the Last Post was sounded before they toured the filed. By the way, Prince Harry served to tours in Afghanistan during his 10 years in the British Army.
While hugging D-Day veteran William Allan, some of Meghan's face powder got on his military jacket. We've all been there before. It wasn't a big deal. William was actually all smiles showing off the makeup mishap. "I’m never washing that!," he said. Ha!
Looks like the new parents left Baby Archie behind to perform their royal duties.
