The “Tina Turner Musical” came to a halt last night after one of the stars suffered an injury. More inside…
Just days after its Broadway debut, the “Tina Turner Musical” came to a halt last night after one of the performers were injured on stage. Gossip columnist Rob Shuter attended the show last night and posted on Facebook that one of the stars suffered an injury and had to be hauled away in an ambulance. He said you could hear the actress screaming in pain before the curtains closed. Yikes.
"HELP: @LoveTinaTurner musical stopped after actress injured on stage," he posted on Facebook. "Could see and hear her screaming before curtain was dropped. Told she was taken away in an ambulance @TinaBroadway"
In the comments, he provided additional information:
"It was awful. It felt like eternity before they dropped the curtain. Stage managers ran on but she could move. Not sure if she tripped or if foot got caught by the moving set."

At the time, it's unclear if it was lead actress Adrienne Warren (pictured atop) or another actress. Sending postive vibes to the actress who was injured.

The Queen of Rock 'N Roll made a surprise (and rare) appearance for the Broadway debut of her musical. Originally launched in London, the production gives audiences a peek into her life with a musical twist.
“I feel that it is in many ways a culmination of my career. London audiences have been and continue to be extraordinary. Now, the bright lights of Broadway are calling, and I’m very excited to share this beautiful show with New York audiences next year," Tina Turner said in a statement last year.
For the Broadway debut, Tina was joined by Oprah, Gayle King, and more.
