Miami Dolphins player Xavien Howard has been arrested following an alleged domestic violence incident with his fiancée. And it allegedly had something to do with the purchase of a purse. Hmm…
Details inside…
The Miami Dolphins is ending the year with yet another domestic violence situation involving one of their players.
Cornerback back Xavien Howard has been arrested by the Davie Police Department after reportedly copping domestic battery charges Sunday night, which went down just hours after the Dolphins defeated the Patriots (27-24). However, Xavien didn’t play. He has been on injured reserve with a knee injury since October and recently underwent surgery, so he was home during yesterday's game.
According to the arrest report (obtained by ESPN), the 26-year-old NFL star and his fiancée – who is also the mother of his three children – got into an argument that turned physical. He allegedly grabbed both of her arms and pushed her against a mirrored glass wall in the hall of their bedroom. Reportedly, she fell and landed on his medical assistant walking crutch.
An officer who responded to the scene reportedly observed “scratches and redness on her right wrist/forearm from Howard grabbing her and an abrasion and redness from the fall.”
Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard is currently in Broward jail with a $3,000 bond.

According to the police report, the altercation started “over a recent purchase of a purse at a store that wasn't disclosed to her." Oh?
We guess it was impossible for it to be a Christmas present for her or a family member...
The NFL cornerback was booked at the Davie Police Department and then he was transported to a local hospital after complaining of knee pain from his recent surgery. He was then transferred to the Broward County Jail and was hit with a $3,000 bond.
The Dolphins released a statement regarding Xavien's arrest:
Dolphins statement on Xavien Howard arrest: “We are aware of the situation and currently gathering information. We will have no further comment at this time.”

"We are aware of the situation and currently gathering information," the Dolphins said in a statement. "We will have no further comment at this time."
Xavien signed a five-year, $75.25 million extension in May, which made him the highest paid cornerback in the league at that time. He's the 2nd Dolphins player to be arrested on domestic violence charges this year. Back in November, running back Mark Walton was arrested on charges of aggravated battery of a pregnant person and immediately waived by the team.
Based on how this escalatted, it seems this purse purchase (if true) was a sign that he was up to no good. You catch our drift.
