Drea Kelly Says She’s SUING Lifetime Over ‘Surviving R. Kelly Part II’ Promo!

R. Kelly’s ex-wife Drea Kelly was a prominent star in LIFETIME’s documentary “Surviving R. Kelly.” The network is gearing up to release Part 2, but Drea Kelly wants NO PARTS.

LIFETIME released the new trailer for “Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning,” which features Drea. However, they used her likeness WITHOUT her permission. At least, that’s what she’s saying. She claims they reused a clip of her from the initial documentary for the new one and she’s pissed. She claims she told LIFETIME she didn’t want to have anything to do with Part of the documentary, but they used her likeness anyway.

So, why doesn’t she want to have anything to do with the new documentary? Well, she isn’t happy with the way LIFETIME handled the aftermath of Part 2. She pointed out the network’s lack of support, security and aftercare of the survivors who starred in the first documentary in an interview with TMZ.

Drea said she has “no involvement, did not approve any footage or stills of her likeness and is not actively promoting, nor consulting the follow-up series.”

Additionally, R. Kelly accuse Lisa Van Allen is also separating herself from Part 2 of the documentary. She told TMZ she was disappointed in how the network handled the subject matter.
