Kevin McCall just copped a felony charge for drama that went down in the courthouse recently and he could face serious jail time for it. Deets inside…
Another day, another crazy story about Kevin McCall.
Remember when the R&B crooner got into a physical altercation with a sergeant when he refused to stopped recording from his phone in the courthouse and was arrested? If not, click below:
Kevin was in court to try and hash out his custody dispute with “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Eva Marcille. He’s seeking custody of their daughter Marley Rae McCall, after making claims he hadn’t seen her in years. If you didn’t know, Eva accused Kevin of physical abuse and has a restraining order against him to keep him away from her and her family with her new husband, Michael Sterling.
After his altercation with the courthouse sergeant, he’s now facing serious charges. According to reports, a Georgia grand jury has indicted Kevin McCall on three counts, which include obstruction of a law enforcement officer by use of threats or violence, terroristic threats and criminal damage to property in the second degree, which is a felony count.
Watch the altercation go down below:
In the indictment, it alleges the singer wrestled with the officer and attempted to physically harm him, resisted arrest and made threats of aggravated assault. Since Kevin allegedly said he was going to damage the sergeant’s eyeglasses, that’s where the felon criminal damage to property charge comes into play.
On the flip side, the singer-songwriter told TMZ he plans to sue the police because he feels he was “targeted due to his black skin and claims he got injured” during the scuffle.
He is facing up to 5 years behind bars on the felony charge.
The news of his indictment comes days after he was acting up on social media, per usual.
Yahoo reports:
Over the weekend, McCall continued his erratic behavior on social media. He decided to repost a clip of a recent interview Marcille gave on “The Real.”
In the video, one of the hosts asks Marcille if you would do anything differently in her past. She said, “when it comes to Marley she gave my life like a resurgence, I enjoyed life and it was good to me. But when I had my daughter like I really learned the reason for living. All that it took to get it and have her I would do it all over again.” McCall captioned the video, “#readbetweenthelines.”
