Lil Wayne responds after federal agents reportedly raided a private jet he was traveling on. According to reports, guns and drugs were found, but Weezy has been "cleared." Peep his reaction and more inside…
Lil Wayne got hemmed up in some mess in Miami last night that involved federal agents.
According to the Miami Herald, the 37-year-old rapper was a passenger on a private jet that federal agents stopped to search in Miami. It’s reported the Miami-Dade Police received a tip about drugs and weapons possibly being transported via Wayne’s plane. And the tip held some weight. See what we did there?
The Miami-Dade Police Department alerted federal authorities so they could cop a search warrant to raid the jet at the Miami-Opa locka Executive Airport. The search included agents with the FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, some Miami-Dade police officers and other agencies.
Drugs and a firearm were reportedly found on the aircraft, however, no immediate charges were filed. Charges could be filed later in federal court.
Luckily for Wayne, he was “cleared” and was able to leave, according to his lawyer/ Miami defense attorney Howard Srebnick.
After he was freed, he hopped on Twitter to let everyone know he was “goody.”
"All goody! I think they thought I was talking abt a different “Pack” in my last tweet. But anyway GO PACK GO!!!," he tweeted, referring to his previous tweet, which said, "GO PACK GO!!!!!"
Wayne's plane being raided comes just weeks after agents found drugs and weapons on late rapper Juice WRLD's private jet in Chicago. It's reported the 21-year-old suffered a seizure during the raid before he died. It's alleged the "Lucid Dreams" rapper swallowed an undisclosed amount of Percocets to hide them from the feds.
