Grab your tissues! The things that happened off the field during the college football gakes last weekend will have you in tears. More inside…
Guys, this one is real tearjerker, so don’t say we didn’t warn you.
In college football, it has been a long tradition for seniors to come out of the tunnel for the final game of their collegiate career with their family. Players usually tap their mom, dad and immediate family to join them for their final game.
Sadly, Michigan State University cornerback Josh Butler lost BOTH of his parents before his Senior Day game. However, he didn’t emerge from the tunnel alone. The 23-year-old player walked out onto the Spartan Stadium field by his two pet dogs, Roxy & Remi. And it was the cutest:

Roxy & Remi have become Josh’s closest family since the passing of his parents. His father, Steven Butler, died in November 2017. It’s reported he passed hours before Josh was set to play in a game against Penn State. In April 2019, his mother, Ladrida Bagley, passed away after she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.
He shared the video on his Instagram account and opened up about his struggle from losing both of his parents:
In between the time of his father and mother’s deaths, he adopted 2-year-old Roxy & 7-month Remi, who are boxer-pit bull mix breed dogs. The pups are sisters and they’ve even become Instagram famous. Josh has an IG account dedicated to them where he shares cute videos dancing and playing with his dogs, and even dressing them up in Spartan gear, Halloween costumes and more.
