R. Kelly’s girlfriend Joycelyn Savage (and likely the last in his harem) is going through it. Her mugshot was just released and sis looks tired.
Last week, the 24-year-old was arrested and charged with one misdemeanor count of domestic battery after she got into a physical altercation with Kelly’s – likely now former – 22-year-old girlfriend Azriel Clary inside Kelly’s Trump Tower condo in downtown Chicago. The brawl was caught on video since Azriel hopped on Instagram Live to capture it all. It's worth noting, the brawl went down on the R&B crooner's 53rd birthday. Bloop.
The full video of the fight – that went down in the hallway – was released days after the fight, which you can see below:
According to reports, the fight video will be included in a three-part documentary titled "Precedents" that's currently in the works. TMZ reports the project - produced by Shabazz from The Asis Entertainment Network - will feature interviews with Azriel, her family and some of Kelly's friends and family.
Joycelyn's parents have been very vocal about not seeing their daughter since she left home three years ago to be with Kelly. Well, her parents - Tim & Jonjelyn Savage - were recently reunited with their daughter.
According to the parents' attorney, Gerald Griggs, Joycelyn's immediate family was brought to a holding area in the Chicago courthouse after her hearing. The meeting went down before Joycelyn was released on bond and it was facilitated by law enforcement. Gerald told TMZ Joycelyn was surprised to see her family at first, but ended up talking to them for about 20 minutes. Her family assured her they loved her, gave her plenty of hugs, and asked for her to come home. While she didn't agree to coming home, she was "given direct contact info for her parents," and she reportedly said she was keep in touch. Her family is hopeful she'll come home since she said she would reach out soon.
Joycelyn is expected back in court on Feb. 6th.
In the meantime, she has been going to see her man R. Kelly, who's currently in prison on a rack of federal and state charges, which include child pornography, racketeering, violations of the Mann Act, obstruction of justice, bribery and more.
The "I Believe I Can Fly" singer has plead not guilty to all charges and is trying his hardest to get a "get out of jail free" card.
The site reports:
Kelly says he is no danger claiming, “At the time of his arrest Mr. Kelly was living in a small condominium, working with his longtime producer, without other employees of note, and effectively without any income. He had no “enterprise” as the government likes to call his career and his business, RSK Enterprises.”
His lawyer continues, “As noted above, Mr. Kelly remains in custody at the federal jail in Chicago. All of his phone calls are monitored. All of his mail is monitored. Other than legal counsel his only visitor is his girlfriend, Joycelyn. He simply has no means or method by which to engage in any obstructive conduct.” He is demanding the names of the “Jane Does” be released to him.
While Joycelyn is making jail visits, Azriel is living it up with her family after reuniting with them last week. Thankfully.
