Celebs are filing for dual citizenship in Africa and we’re not even mad considering the current war climate. Deets on Ludacris, Cardi B and Idris Elba’s new citizenship statuses inside…
African-American celebrities (as well as Black Brits) have been scooping up African citizenships. Rapper Ludacris is the latest celeb to nab dual citizenship with an African country.
Over the holidays, Ludacris, his wife Eudoxie, their daughter Cadence Gaelle Bridges, and Luda’s daughters Cai Bella Bridges (whom he shares with Tameka Fuller), and Karma Bridges (whom he shares Christine White) jetted to Eudoxie’s home country Gabon, Africa.
The Gabanese native brought her hubby Luda – who’s real name is Christopher Bridges – back to her roots and he received Gabonese citizenship. In fact, the whole family was awarded citizenship:

"Starting my new year off with dual citizenship. Africa, I'm official! Momma and kids too. The best gift of the decade award goes to @eudoxie," he wrote.
"I am a loyal citizen of Zamunda," he joked. "This is the best day of my life and Wakanda." Peep the clip above.

Fans on Twitter joked about Luda getting the dual citizenship as a response to the recent killing of Iranian military general Qassem Soleimani.

As for another celeb who now hold dual citizenship...

British hottie Idris Elba and his wife Sabrina Dhowre Elba (who is actually Canadian) recently became citizens of Sierra Leona, his father's country. The "Luther" actor and his wife received citizenship before celebrating Christmas with the president.
Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio bestowed the passport to the actor/DJ during a private ceremony at his colonial-era residence in the capital Freetown.
"I'm humbled and thankful for the opportunity to become a citizen of my father's country, it's an honour for our family," the Suicide Squad actor said.
The Avengers star was born in London. His mother is from Ghana and his father is a Sierra Leone native. In the past, Idris expressed interest in investing in eco-toursim. According to reports, the impoverished West African country is hoping to rekindle its tourism industry nearly two decades after the end of the civil war, which claimed some 120,000 lives.
Another celeb seeking dual citizenship...
Over the weekend, Cardi B hopped on Twitter to announce she's filing for citizenship in Nigeria, following Trump's fatal airstrake against Iranian general Qassim Suleimani, which could likely start a war. Iran has promised "revenge" and that was enough for Bardi to jump ship if need be.

Soon after the "Press" rapper posted her tweet, the Nigerian governmen responded with open arms.
Abike Dabiri-Erewa, chairman of Nigeria’s diaspora commission, tweeted:

Bashir Ahmad, personal assistant to Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari, also responded to Cardi's tweet, saying her move would end the Nigeria vs. Ghana rivalry.

In December, the Grammy Award winner performed in Africa for the first time, making stops in Nigeria and Ghana. While there, she donated tons of supplies to an orphanage and made it rain in a strip club. It was her first time visiting Africa.
In August 2019, actor Samuel L Jackson received a Gabonese passport and in May 2019, comedian and actress Tiffany Haddish traveled to Eritrea - her father's home country - where she gained the country's citizenship.
Hmm...maybe we all should consider dual citizenship somewhere at this point because ish isn't looking good here in the U.S.
