2019 was a good year for “Orange Is The New Black” star Danielle Brooks. And 2020 looks like it’s going to be even better.
A month after welcoming her first child, Danielle Brooks got engaged! She shared the news on her Instagram account on New Year’s Eve. While she hasn’t confirmed the identity of her longtime beau, news outlets identify him as Dennis Gelin.
"I never thought one of the best days of my year would happen the last week of the year. I get to marry my best friend. We’re ENGAGED!! So excited to become your wife. D&D until the end," the 30-year-old actress wrote in a caption on her IG page with her fiancé.
Several of her celeb friends have wished her congratulatory messages in her IG comments.
"Congratulations! (heart emojis)," Danielle's "OITNB" co-star Uzo Aduba wrote.
"Ayyyyyyye! I know the feelin. Blessings to u and ur fianceeeee!," "This Is Us" actress Susan Kelechi Watson wrote. She got engaged in September 2019.
"What a year you have had! Congrats, sis!," actress Yvette Nicole Brown wrote.
Danielle and Dennis welcome their baby girl on November 16th. Danielle shared a precious black-and-white photo of their baby, writing, “11.16.19 She’s perfect." She hasn't revealed the name of her daughter just yet.
