Super Bowl LIV paid tribute to Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna Bryant and the 7 other victims who lost their lives last week. However, you may have missed it. Deets on the tributes, why the Staples Center has removed a massive Kobe memorial and deets on his funeral arrangements inside…
NBA icon Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant and the 7 other victims who lost their lives in a horrific helicopter crash last week were honored during Super Bowl LIV in Miami, but you may have missed it.
Days before the Super Bowl, NFL commissioner Roger Goddell revealed the league would pay tribute to the 41-year-old retired NBA star, who was taken away from us too soon.
Before the Chiefs defeated the 49ers, the NFL stopped everything for a moment of silence to commemorate the NBA legend, his daughter and the 7 victims. Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers players all lined up at the 24-yard line in honor of Kobe’s Lakers jersey number. The NFL also set up an auction where fans can bid on signed items. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to Kobe’s Mamba Sports Academy.
The tribute also honored Chris Doleman, a former NFL defensive end and Hall of Famer who reportedly died last week after a battle with cancer.

49ers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders also honored Kobe on his cleats, writing "Rest in Peace" with both of Kobe's Lakers jersey numbers, #8 & #24:

Before the game, former NFL wide receiver Randy Moss fought back tears while talking about Kobe Bryant's legacy:
After Jennifer Lopez and Shakira performed, fans were wondering what happened to the Kobe tribute that was supposed to happen:
Black men made J-Lo what she is but neither she nor Shakira honored Kobe at the super bowl. These non-blacks use our music, culture and lingo, then spit in our faces.
This is why Rakim, @oldmanebro etc elevating other people over us is inexcusable.https://t.co/0QGmWAYGTp— ProfessorBlackTruth (@ProfBlacktruth) February 3, 2020

Me waiting for the heartfelt tribute: pic.twitter.com/o4MvvA4Uti— yazo (@yasmin_mars_) February 3, 2020
So Jennifer Lopez and Shakira used that they were doing a tribute to Kobe Bryant as an excuse to get their views up during the halftime show not only that but then they proceeded to do NO Kobe Bryant tribute like they said they would...but are we surprised? #HalftimeShow pic.twitter.com/esuXP8aiS4

The tribute happened, but it was quick. After JLo's 11-year-old daughter Emme hit the stage to perform "Let's Get Loud," a cross appeared on the field that was illuminated in Lakers' colors, purple and yellow.
In the stands, singer Ciara and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson rocked Kobe Bryant jerseys at the game:

Fans who still want to show love are now urged to donate to the Bryant Foundation rather than bring more flowers and gifts.
As for funeral arrangements, USA Today reports details should be coming soon. Bryant's family and Los Angeles city official are still working out the details for the services.
“We don’t have that date finalized, but we’ve been talking every day to the Lakers, and most importantly, to (Bryant’s widow, Vanessa) as well," Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said last week. A public memorial could be held at the Staples Center, the Lakers basketball home, or at a football stadium to accommodate what could be a massive crowd of mourners.
Following the tragedy....
Kobe's sister Sharia Washington spoke on behalf of Kobe’s side of the family about the tragedy and paid tribute to her brother and niece GiGi.
