Jennifer Lopez & Shakira joined forces to rock the Halftime Show for this year’s Super Bowl game. JLo brought her daughter Emme Muniz out to make a political statement and Shakira brought her truth telling hips. See their performance inside…
The biggest night in football went down last night!
Super Bowl LIV was held inside the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami to determine the best NFL team of the season. The San Francisco 49ers took a huge L to the Kansas City Chiefs after an intense game. By the fourth quarter, it appeared the 49ers would become our champions this year, but the Chiefs stepped their game up, came back and took home the win.
The Halftime Show is just as big as the game and this year’s performers were Jennifer Lopez and Shakira. And they brought the Latina superwoman heat.
The 50-year-old entertainer made sure to spice things up, hitting the stripper pole to show off the moves she learned for her role in HUSTLERS.
JLo also added in a politically charged with featuring her 11-year-old daughter Emme Muniz. Kicking off the powerful set, Emme appeared in a lit up cage along with several other kids, taking a political stand against Trump’s immigration policy where children are ripped from their parents and detained after attempting to cross the southern border illegally.
Following in the footsteps of her mother, Emme began singing her mom’s track “Let’s Get Loud” before JLo appeared in a massive Puerto Rican/American flag coat before performing “Born in the USA.” The lighting behind them appeared to reflect a wire fence.
Props to Jlo, Shakira and/or the choreographer for the necessary statement with Latino children in cages singing""Born in the USA". #SuperBowl #SuperBowl #PepsiHalftime pic.twitter.com/gyQDsmXo3l

The kids in cages dressed in all white (people wore all white during the immigration protests), the lighted “fence” along with the Puerto Rican and American flag while singing “Born int the USA” was a political protest against the government’s treatment of immigrants and Puerto Rico.

Important political moment from the #SuperBowl Halftime Show when @JLo's daughter (who appears to be in a cage like other children on the field) sang a mashup of "Let's Get Loud" and @Springsteen's "Born in the U.S.A." Yas! Go Emme! She's a natural like her mother.
Last night's performance was extra special for Shakira as it was her 43-year-old birthday and chick still doesn't looka day over 25. Her hips either.
The Colombian singer (who is of Colombian and Lebanese ancestry and always acknowledges her African roots) hips told no lies and she had a team of baddies behind her. And made sure to be inclusive when it came to showing Afro Latinas and various complexions.
She brought out artists Bad Bunny (from Puerto Rico) and J Balvi (from Colombia) to share some love.
There were reports that JLo & Shakira would pay tribute to NBA icon Kobe Bryant, but that didn't happen and some fans are pissed about it on Twitter.

As previously reported, Jay-Z's deal with the NFL allowed him to be a co-producer of the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
