In honor of Black History Month, OneUnited Bank – the nation’s largest Black-owned and FDIC insured bank - decided to release a new Visa Debit card to celebrate. The chose a painting of famed abolitionist Harriet Tubman to go on the new limited-edition Visa Debit cards, but it’s not an image of how we’ve seen her over the years. They had someone paint an image of our fearless leader throwing up the “Wakanda Forever” sign. Y’all!

Maryland unveiled two new bronze statues of abolitionists Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglas - both born on Maryland's Eastern Shore - during a ceremony in the Maryland State House. According to ABC News, the life-sized statues were dedicated during a special joint session of the Maryland General Assembly in the Old House Chamber, the room where slavery was abolished in the state in 1864.
