EX-NFL Star Chris Johnson Accused Of Funding A Murder-For-Hire Revenge Shooting, But He Denies Everything

It's like a story straight out of "Ice Cold Blood" or any true crime show.  Five years after former NFLer Chris Johnson was horribly injured in a fatal shooting now linked to multiple other shootings, he's now being eyed as the potential culprit behind a murder-for-hire revenge plot.  Deets inside.

Former Jets & Titans star runningback Chris Johnson is in a heap of trouble, but hasn't been charged with anything...yet.

GOD IS GOOD

A post shared by Chris (@chrisjohnsontwo8) on

On March 8, 2015, seven years after entering the NFL, Chris was shot in Orlando while riding in a Jeep with other people at 4AM.  Chris sustained a bullet to his shoulder, while his friend Dreekius Johnson, was unfortunately killed.

He posted about the gunshot wound at the time (above), but has since deleted the post.

Months later, in January of 2016, two more fatal shootings occured.  This time, the two men thought to be behind the Chris Johnson shooting were the victims.

Now, officials believe Chris had something to do with those two shootings, and his motive, they say, was revenge.  While Chris has not been charged or arrested, new court documents in the case state that the shooter in the last two murders - Dominic Bolden - is a gang member who was is associated with Chris.  Authorities suspect that Chris "rewarded" Bolden with money and a "rank elevation" in a Florida drug trafficking organization that they also accuse Chris of having a hand in its day-to-day operations.

TMZ reports:

In new court docs ... law enforcement officials say "intelligence gathered suggested [the shooting] was a gang related murder attempt on Chris Johnson."

Officials also say ... months later, a noted Florida gang member named Dominic Bolden shot and killed two men -- one on Jan. 19, 2016 and one on July 24, 2016 -- who were believed to be the shooters in the March 2015 incident.

In the court docs, officials claim an informant told them as a reward for Bolden's alleged actions ... Chris helped the guy become a leader of a famed drug trafficking organization (DTO) in Florida.

The informant told officials that Johnson supplied Bolden "with funds and an individual who could continually supply Dominic Bolden with as much narcotics as needed to supply the DTO."

The informant also told officials the "murder for hire elevated Dominic Bolden's rank, reputation and power within the DTO" -- eventually making Bolden the org's de facto leader.

As for why authorities are convinced Chris had a hand in this revenge plot, he can thank his social media post for that:

TMZ reached out to Chris and one of his representatives told the outlet that “there’s no validity to any of these accusations.”
