Carl Crawford – ex-Dodgers player turned 1501 Entertainment honcho – hosted a small gathering at his Houston home yesterday. Sadly, it ended with a double drowning in his pool.
According to reports, a 25-year-old woman and a 5-year-old boy drowned in Carl’s pool. Local news station KHOU-11 reports the woman and child were pulled from the pool at the North Houston home and emergency crews performed CPR on both victims at the scene. Sadly, both victims reportedly died at the hospital, according to Houston police.

TMZ reports Carl was inside when the young boy wandered off and fell into the swimming pool. The woman - who was caring for the child - jumped in after him, but they both drowned. Sources tell the site the ex-MLB player tried to revive them the best he could, but was unsuccessful.

Small gatherings of under 10 are currently allowed under Houston's stay-at-home order.
It's unclear what the relationship was between Carl and the two victims. It's also unclear the relationship between the woman and the boy.
Houston's DJ Mr. Rogers hopped on Twitter to send condolences to IG model Slim Marie. It's rumored that it was her son who drowned in Carl's pool but that has NOT been confirmed.
