Joe Budden responds to his ex-girlfriend Tahiry Jose’s physical abuse claims and he has SOME WORDS for her. Find out everything he said inside….
Joe Budden has responded to physical abuse accusations made by his ex-girlfriend/"Love & Hip Hop" co-star Tahiry Jose.
A few days ago, Tahiry revealed in an interview that Joe allegedly used to beat her, broke her nose, fractured her ribs and pushed her down a flight of stairs. Folks were shocked and confused by the allegations being that Tahiry called Joe her “best friend” whom she shares a strong connection with on the last season of “Love & Hip Hop.”
The NYC rapper-turned-podcast host is now sharing his side of the story.
While chopping it up on his own "Joe Budden Podcast", the physical abuse topic was ushered in following a discussion about protecting black women following the Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez situation. On the latest episode that hit yesterday, Joe spoke about the shooting scandal and his co-stars felt he was a little harsh toward Tory, so he was clearing up his reasoning for taking that stance. That convo led them into talking about how co-host Mal didn’t take the same stance as Joe based on the new physical abuse allegations made by Tahiry.
Joe Budden didn’t mince his words in response to Tahiry’s abuse allegations:
”You are a cancerous, toxic, clout, check chasing liar!”
Throughout their five-year relationship, Joe said they BOTH were toxic to each other. He said Tahiry has been clout chasing since they broke up. You’ll recall, Joe proposed to Tahiry on “LAHH” in 2013, but she declined. He said the former video vixen wants to keep up the narrative that she turned down his proposal to stay relevant.
The “Pump It Up” rapper said Tahiry wasn’t completely transparent when she detailed their physical fights. He claimed she often times would put her hands on him, threatened him, and even pulled knives out on him. At the time, he said he didn’t know that was considered “toxic.” He thought they were just “beefing” and that it was "normal." In hindsight, he said he realizes they were both sick and that they both were reminders of each other’s toxicity.
“I do not support domestic violence…at all,” he wanted to make clear. “I don’t support the dehumanizing of black men either.”
After their breakup, he claims he went and sought help through intensive therapy.
Joe said Tahiry failed to mention all of the details surrounding how her nose got broken and made it seem like it was because of abuse from him. He explained Tahiry got hit in the nose by another man during an afterparty in Sin City. After she got hit, he said she called him about it. He admitted he was actually out in the streets cheating “at Sue’s” (a strip cb) at the time as they were supposedly on the “outs.” Oh.
It's interesting. If both are allegedly toxic individuals who have lied, cheated or abused, why should Joe's word be any more powerful than Tahiry's? Why should his take automatically usurp hers if, as he admits, he was in a toxic place as well and since he has admitted to physical abuse in the past with exes? Well, the video MIGHT give his story more credence, even though we dn't know if this is the exact time Tahiry was speaking of recently as it relates to her nose being broken.
Despite their uber toxic relationship, Joe and Tahiry remained in touch throughout the years. He said she told him about the Vado situation before it came out. He also said Tahiry reached out to him and his son’s mother Cyn Santana to see if they wanted to star on “Marriage Bootcamp” and “Dancing With The Stars.” He said no to both offers.
All in all, Joe said he will NOT take accountability for something he didn’t do. That’s his story and he’s sticking to it.
