While misogynoir Twitter was busy dragging Megan Thee Stallion and accusing her of lying about being shot by Tory Lanez, leaked text messages from Tory have surfaced where he's profusely apologizing to Meg. Deets inside.
Welp. What's done in the dark....
Almost two months after that frightful July night where rappers Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez ended up in cuffs and surrounded by police helicopters, it looks like some truth nuggets are finally surfacing.
While we never believed Meagan was lying about being shot in both feet by "someone with intent to hurt her" that she later named as Tory Lanez, many people still doubted her story. It's weird, but, it's also 2020. So, yeah.
Tory still hasn't broken his silence, despite the smear campaign he had his PR team allegedly launch against Meg. He doesn't need to speak, though, because his alleged leaked text messages say it all.
TMZ got their hands on these alleged text messages, and here's the gist:
"I know u prolly never gone talk to me again, but I genuinely want u to know I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart."
His only explanation for the violence ... "I was just too drunk."
In the text, Tory never references "shooting" or a gun, but it is clear he did something he regrets. In his words, "None the less s**t should have never happened and I can't change what did. I just feel horrible."
And, he repeats ... "Cuz I genuinely just got too drunk."
Thankfully, she's getting the best revenge by living her best life (and hopefully cooperating with police as well):
We have our thoughts, but maybe if those thoughts are expressed by a man instead, folks will listen and finally understand the extremely problematic nature of this whole fiasco.
He shot her. He knew he shot her. Admitted her shot her. She didn’t rat him out. But he sent his team on a PR campaign to lie and damage her reputation anyway. https://t.co/YjuL7eE3xn

And that's that on that.
