TWITTER RANT: Kanye West Urinates On A Grammy, Leaks Forbes’ Editor’s Number, Posts UMG Contract, Asks Drake To Retweet & Responds To Hit-Boy’s Collab Claims

Kanye West’s Twitter fingers were hard at work today and it resulted in a lengthy rant about his dissatisfaction with the music industry. More inside…

Kanye West had the Internets going crazy with a long, drawn out Twitter rant about his frustrations with the music industry, relating the industry’s current practices as “modern day slavery.” He ranted and raved about recording contracts, music ownership and shared he’s going to be the one to change the game.

Before today’s rant, 'Ye - who's running for president - said in a since-deleted tweet from Monday that he was not going to release new music until his contracts with SONY/ATC Music Publishing, and his label, Universal Music Group, had run their course.

It's unclear why he deleted the tweets (since he's been on some IDGAF vibes), but his rant comes a few months after he promised to release his 10th studio album he titled DONDA: With Child. It was originally scheduled to drop July 24th, but it was never released. You'll recall, right before the album was set to drop, he went off on Twitter, aiming shots at his own wife, Kim Kardashian West about considering abortion.

Back to today's antics...

The Twitter rant began with the Jesus Is King rapper talking about how Black people are not getting a seat at the table and was passionate about why ownership matters. He brought up Nick Cannon getting canceled and how the NBA and the music industry uses black people to make money.

"We sat back and watched Nick Cannon get canceled and we go to play ball in a bubble with black lives matter on our backs ... brothers let’s stand together for real ... there is no NBA or music industry without black people ... fair contracts matter ... ownership matters,” he tweeted.

"I am the only person who can speak on this because I made multi billions outside of music no musicians make billions inside music. I'm going to change this," he tweeted, along with Bible scriptures.

‘Ye went on to post 10 confidential contracts with Universal Music Group page-for-page, likely breaching NDAs, saying they are trying to “bury him alive.”

”Here are my ten Universal contracts… I need every lawyer in the world to look at these,” he wrote. He also called out SONY and kept repeating his kids will own his masters. "ALL THE MUSICIANS WILL BE FREE," he later tweeted.

He literally posted every single page and shared them on Twitter via tons of individual tweets.

After going off about his contracts, he shared a video of himself apparently urinating on his own Grammy statuette. He captioned the clip, "Trust me ... I WONT STOP."

Gross.

The YEEZUS rapper - who referred to himself as “the new Moses” - noted how white media took down celebs like Michael Jackson, Bill Cosby and R. Kelly. He said there has never been a black media company who would take down a white celebrity: 

Continuing his rant, 'Ye also asked Drake, Kendrick Lamar and even Taylor Swift (who has also blasted the music industry) for a retweet. He also seemingly tried to leak new music. Womp. Check it: 

 

'Ye went on to leak the personal phone number of the Chief Content Officer of Forbes, Randall Forbes, who he labeled a white supremacist:

By the way, Twitter removed this tweet.

Recently, Grammy Award winning producer Hit-Boy revealed Kanye refused to work with him after he collaborated with Beyonce. Here's what he said:

The "Wash Us In Blood" rapper responded, saying he didn't have a problem with him producing with Bey, however, he didn't like the fact he wasn't aware of the collaboration:

After all was said and done, he concluded his Twitter rant with this: 

"90% of the record contracts on the planet are still on a royalty A standard record deal is a trap to NEVER have you recoup, and there’s all these hidden costs like the “distribution fees” many labels put in their contracts to make even more money off our work without even trying," he tweeted.

So now that he's running for president and has new music he wants to release, he cares about Black ownership? Oh. We thought a narcissist said something. PR stunt or nah? Y'all know the answer to this.
