Nicki Minaj is now a first-time mom…if the reports are true.
Sources allegedly close to the rapper told several media outlets that Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty welcomed their first baby together on Wednesday, September 30th in Los Angeles.
No word yet on if it's a boy or a girl.
After longtime speculation, the 37-year-old rapper announced she was pregnant with her first child via Instagram back in July. She shared flicks of her baby bump with the caption, “Preggers,” on the first photo.
"Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes,” she captioned another photo.
The NYC raptress came under fire when her fans learned she married Kenneth, who was convicted of first-degree attempted rape in 1995. Due to his past and getting arrested in March 2020, he almost missed the birth of his child with Nicki Minaj.
Over the summer, TMZ gave an update on Kenneth being given permission by a judge to be present for the birth of his child with the rapper:
Kenneth can be in the room when Nicki gives birth ... a judge just granted his request to tweak his pre-trial release conditions so he can travel with Nicki.
With the court's order in place, KP can travel with Nicki periodically on biz trips as her manager and be there when their baby's born.
