Shortly after, the Patriots released a statement on Twitter confirming a player had tested positive for the virus, but they didn’t name the player.
"Late last night, we received notice that Patriots player tested positive for COVID-19. The player immediately entered self-quarantine. Several additional players, coaches and staff who have been in close contact with the player received point of care tests this morning and all were negative for COVID-19.
”We are in close consultation with the NFL, as well as our team of independent doctors and specialists, and will follow their guidance regarding our scheduled trip to Kansas City and game against the Chiefs. The health and safety of our team, as well as our opponent, are of highest priority."
The Patriots were scheduled to leave for Kansas City at 1pm EST today, but players were told to standby as they "await more test results and guidance from the NFL."

News of Cam’s diagnosis comes amid reports of the Coronavirus spreading in the NFL.
The Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Tennessee Titans game was delayed after several Titans players and staffers tested positive for the Coronavirus. According to reports at least 16 members of the Titans organization has tested positive for the virus.

The NY Post reports:
The Titans-Steelers Week 4 matchup initially scheduled for Sunday was pushed back to Oct. 25 in Week 7 after the first cases were reported.
The Titans’ Week 3 opponent, the Minnesota Vikings, has not had any members of its team test positive since the Tennessee outbreak began.
NFL’s chief medical officer Allen Sills in an interview Friday with the Washington Post said the Titans’ facility will remain closed until the league is “convinced that we’ve reached the end of the transmission event that occurred earlier this week,” but that he was “cautiously optimistic” the NFL would be able to complete its season.
There were no positive tests this morning in Minnesota, per source, meaning the Vikings continue to be unaffected by last week’s game vs. Titans. So it appears the virus hasn’t yet crossed the line of scrimmage.

With this weekend’s Steelers-Titans game rescheduled, there now will be increased questions about the viability of next weekend’s Titans-Bills game. https://t.co/akuyfg6qCu
