Keshia Knight Pulliam is wrapping up 2020 as a fiancée!
The 41-year-old “Cosby” alum just recently got engaged to her actor boyfriend, Brad James. Sources spilled the engagement tea to PEOPLE, revealing the 39-year-old actor - who is best known for his role as Todd in Tyler Perry’s sitcom “For Better or For Worse” - asked Keshia to be his wife earlier this month in Atlanta, gifting her a custom diamond eternity band made by Fevzi of Audin Jewelers.
The happy couple celebrated their engagement with family and friends, including Keshia’s 3-year-old daughter, Ella, whom she shares with her ex-husband Ed Hartwell. Event planner Scoobie West was able to create a “magical, intimate, COVID compliant evening filled with love” to celebrate the couple’s milestone.
”I said Yes!!,” Keshia wrote in the caption of a picture from her engagement dinner. “I LOVE YOU @mrbradjames !!!!This is my favorite photo from our magical engagement dinner. My desire is a lifetime and beyond filled with love & family. My heart is so filled with joy!! So excited to continue to choose each other & our family every day,” she continued.
She added, “Oh.... Now make sure you go VOTE GA!!!!!
”Boats and ships are safe in harbor, but that's not why they're built... Hitting the waters with my @keshiaknightpulliam, #engaged,” Brad wrote.
“Keisha and Brad are excited to find their happily ever after,” her rep told PEOPLE.
The two met on the set of TV movie Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta and have been dating since last year.
“Honestly we just hit it off,” she said about meeting Brad in the clip above. “We had a lot of downtime; there was a lot going on filming that project. So there were times where we would all be sitting in the cast seats or the van just talking.”
Previously, Keshia was married to former NFL player Ed Hartwell, but he filed for divorce eight months after tying the knot in 2016.
Both Keshia and Brad have been married before and she likes it that way.
"I think it’s better when you’ve been married before because you’re very clear in what you don’t desire. It makes it so much clearer when you see what it is you do want,” she said in the clip above.
