From drunk in love, to getting engaged four months later, only to call it all off weeks after celebrating the engagement with family and friends.
”Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Masika Kalysha has called off her engagement to her fiancé Jamar Champ. Following the Christmas holiday, Masika revealed on her IG Stories that she was engaged!

She tweeted “God is good” with the engagement ring emoji after she made the announcement on her IG Stories. At first, she kept her man a secret, leaving fans wondering who had wifed her up. Soon after, she revealed her man on her IG Stories.
After she unmasked him, she opened up about their relationship. Jamar asked her to marry him just four months after they started dating. However, they’ve known each other the past 10 years, but she curved him most of the time.
"Met my fiancé 10 years ago. Curved him for 97% of those 10 years," she tweeted (and deleted). "Been dating for 4 months. He asked me to marry him 4 days ago. Last night I asked him what made you so sure after only 4 months of dating? He said I knew 10 years ago, on the day I met you that I was gonna marry u."
Last week, Masika and Jamar celebrated their engagement with family and friends in Houston. Here’s a clip of the couple with Masika’s 4-year-old daughter Khari Barbie (whom she shares with rapper Fetty Wap) leaving their hotel on their way to the engagement party:

Now, there’s trouble in paradise.
In a lengthy Instagram caption, the former “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” star announced she and Jamar were calling off their engagement. She said after knowing him for 10 years In a lengthy statement uploaded to Instagram, she explained that Champ wasn’t the man she thought he was. She said Jamar was trying to use her for his own personal gain and that he tried to extort her!
“After much thought and careful consideration, along with some unfortunate findings, I have made the difficult decision to call off my engagement,” she wrote. “As a public figure I am aware that I am not entitled to the privacies most people would have. Because of this realization, I go the extra mile to ensure the privacy, safety and security of my family, loved ones and intimate relationships.”
”Unfortunately the man I intended to spend my life with has misused me behind closed doors and continues to use me publicly to gain attention off of my name and to my detriment. This is where I draw the line.”
”I truly thought (after a ten year friendship) I knew this person. We genuinely love and care for each other, unfortunately when you are a public figure love does not cover a multitude of sins. After doing my due diligence I uncovered a Pandora’s box of findings that left me questioning everything I thought I knew about this person. I confided in him, I thought he was my best friend, partner and confidant; but instead he was trying to come up at my expense and extort me. In a desperate attempt to disguise the skeletons in his closet that I found, he used my past trauma as a weapon against me,” she continued.
The reality star said she was hesitant about putting their relationship on social media, but she did it “to extinguish my former partner’s insecurities; inadvertently creating a monster.”
In the caption of the IG post, she wrote, “Please keep me and my princess in your prayers we are both.”

When Masika first made the announcement, her unbothered ex-fiancé posted some shady subliminals about women being gold diggers and grown women who act like “little girls”:
Once he let his petty die down, Jamar changed up his tune and ended up apologizing to Masika. He now seemingly wants to make it right with her:
No word from Masika just yet.
