Donald Glover is leaving FX after signing a huge deal 8-figure, multi-year deal with Amazon Studios. Word on the curb is that Malia Obama will be joining the artist’s writing team for one of his upcoming series. Also, Donald announced he’s doing a Mr. & Mrs. Smith reboot. Everything inside…
2021 is looking even brighter for Donald Glover. He’s already slaying the entertainment world with his creativity. And now, he just leveled up even more.
The Golden Globe winner has inked an 8-figure, multi-year overall deal with Amazon Studios to produce several new projects, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The talented actor/producer made an exit from his current deal with Disney’s FX where he starred and produced his hit series “Atlanta.” Donald’s brother, Stephen Glover (who writes and produces for “Atlanta”), also inked an overall deal with the studio. We love to see it.
Per the agreement, Donald’s projects will be highlighted with a curated content portal on the Amazon Prime Video service, according to sources.
And get this!
First Daughter Malia Obama – who started her fourth year at Harvard University last fall – is rumored to be joining a writing team for one of Donald’s upcoming streaming series. According to reports, the Emmy and Grammy winner is producing a potential new series dubbed “Hive,” which is said to center around a Beyoncé-like character. The 22-year-old (above, left) will reportedly join writer Janine Nabers (“Watchmen”) and a team of writers. Sweet!
News of Donald’s mega-deal with Amazon comes days after the 37-year-old actor/producer announced he’s joining forces with Phoebe Waller-Bridge for a series remake of 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith, also in partnership with Amazon Studios as well as New Regency.
.@donaldglover + Phoebe Waller-Bridge = Mr. & Mrs. Smith
But what does that really mean?? Drop your conspiracy theories below. pic.twitter.com/sWZXpWpYnM

Hmmmmmm. We'll try to hold our judgment about this one because....
So what about Donald's hit FX series "Atlanta?!" Don't fret. Seasons 3 & 4 are still a go. According to reports, production on both seasons is set to begin next month. Fans are DYING for a new season as the last new episode of the show aired almost three years ago!
Even more good news, "Atlanta" could possibly go past Season 4 as “Glover is said to have a carve out” in his Amazon deal “to continue work on Atlanta."
Good. We need more "Atlanta" in our lives.
