NBA baller Sterling Brown could have been killed during an assault outside of the strip club in Miami, according to one of his teammates. Inside are the scary deets about the NBA star getting brutally attacked inside…

Houston Rockets guard Sterling Brown found himself in a world of trouble after partying it up at a Miami strip club earlier this week. He was beaten so badly, his teammate believes he could have lost his life.

The Rockets jetted to the Miami suburb of Coral Gables before they went up against the Miami Heat. It’s reported the Rockets chose to stay in Coral Gables to put some distance between the team and Miami nightlife. However, that didn’t help any.

The Rockets players made their way to the Booby Trap Sunday, which spilled into Monday, and that’s where ish hit the fan.

According to Yahoo! Sports:

According to the report, Brown and some of his Rockets teammates made a trip to the Booby Trap around midnight on Monday. The Rockets were staying in a Coral Gables hotel ahead of Monday's game against the Miami Heat after playing the Orlando Magic Sunday afternoon.

The Rockets chose to stay in Coral Gables to put some distance between the team and Miami nightlife, according to the report.

Upon exiting the club, Brown mistakenly tried to board the wrong van, according to the report, prompting an exchange of words with its occupants that escalated to violence. A source told The Athletic that the van's occupants all proceeded to beat Brown, with one attacker hitting him in the back of his head with a bottle, "leaving blood everywhere."

Sterling’s teammate Kevin Porter Jr. jumped in to help his teammate and ended up getting “roughed up.” According to the police report, most of Sterling’s teammates had already left the establishment.

Sterling suffered injuries to his face, but doctors believe he will make a full recovery.

Porter was well enough to play against the Heat on Monday. Brown, who had been sidelined with a knee injury, did not. The Rockets cited Brown's knee injury as the reason for his absence Monday.

According to a Miami-Dade Police Department report obtained by The Athletic, police found Brown "with multiple lacerations throughout his body" after responding to a call about a fight.

Brown "kept insisting he did not want to provide his information," according to the police report. He was admitted to Jackson Memorial Hospital after 7 a.m., according to the report.

When he arrived at the emergency room, "blood was everywhere, dripped all over the floor," according to the report. Doctors reportedly feared that Brown could have suffered blood clotting because of his head injuries.

“If he hadn’t been as physically strong and tough, he might not have made it out of the situation [Sunday] night,” a source told The Athletic. “He could have died.”

Damn.

Sterling Brown was released from the hospital on Monday afternoon.

"His face is jacked up,” a source https://theathletic.com/2534467/2021/04/21/what-happened-on-the-night-st... ">told The Athletic

Rockets coach Stephen Silas addressed the assault saying:

According to the reports, Sterling and an unidentified man “became belligerent and refused to cooperate” with police.

“Several attempts were made to gather information from (from Brown) who kept insisting he did not want to provide his information, he only wanted rescue to take him to the hospital.”

Unfortunately, Sterling had to receive heavy stitching for his facial injuries.

Sterling's representation at the Priority Sports agency told The Athletic, “Our No. 1 concern is Sterling’s health. We will rely on law enforcement to help get to the bottom of this and the facts about what went down.” The Rockets said they will cooperate fully with a league investigation, but the report said team officials directed players not to respond to inquires"

Prayers for a speedy recovery!
