A wedding! A baby! Life is good for WNBA star Candace Parker.
Two-time WNBA champ Candace Parker is on cloud 9 right now after announcing she has been married to Anna Petrakova for two years and that they’re expanding their family! The couple is pregnant with their first child together.
”Happy Anniversary Моя жена! 2 years ago, I got to marry my best friend in front of our close family and friends. My heart could have exploded. I cried like a baby,” she captioned a group of photos celebrating their love.
Until now, Candace and her wife kept their love story low key.
Not only did they keep their marriage underwraps, they also decided to keep their baby news a secret up until now.
“We’ve always dreamed of growing our family…. it’s surreal that we now have a baby on the way! Lailaa is pumped to be a big sister!,” she continued.
Candace, 35, has a 12-year-old daughter, Lailla, from a previous marriage with former NBA player Shelden Williams. They called it quits in 2016.
The WNBA star - who brought a WNBA championship to her hometown of Chicago last season - gushed about how she’s grateful her wife Anna has loved her daughter as her own and how excited she is about embarking on this new journey.
”You couldn't be more beautiful!" Candace wrote. "Glowing, while understanding that I have to constantly love, kiss, and talk to your belly AND yes… play Jay-Z for the baby (Goose knows "Song Cry" already by heart)."

Anna is a former pro basketball player where she was a part of the Russia women’s national team that placed fourth at the 2012 Summer Olympics. So, it's safe to say this will be one basketball playing family!
