Fans Speculate If Wendy Williams’ Comeback Video On Her New IG Account Is A Throwback + Sources Say She's NOT Coming Back To The Show

Wendy Williams reappeared on social media with a brand new verified Instagram account where she posted a video to let the world know she’s “coming back stronger.” In the clip, she said some things that has fans speculating if the video is old. Find out what she said and more inside….

In September 2021, Wendy Williams was scheduled to take a seat in her famous purple chair to kick off the 13th season of her hit daytime show, “The Wendy Williams Show.” However, it never happened. Delay after delay after delay was shared on social media before it was decided they would bring in guest hosts to kick off the new season.

In a series of posts, it was shared that Wendy was facing some serious health issues and that was the reason she had not returned.

Rumors about her health started circulating like crazy with claims that she was suffering from early stages of dementia and that she was wheelchair bound. In November 2021, Wendy’s brother - Tommy Williams Jr. - debunked the rumors and said she was fine.

Fast forward to now - Wendy is showing the world that she’s fine. However, not everyone is believing it.

Since the show likely has control of her old IG account, she popped up on social media with a new, verified Instagram account (@therealwendywilliamsonline).

In a 5-minute video, she is seen walking on the beach in Florida in a black hoodie and shorts as she answers questions asked by her only son, Kevin Hunter Jr.

In the clip, Wendy’s 21-year-old son asks her a series of questions to update her fans on what she has been up to. Check it:

“It’s just after 8 o’clock in the morning and I’m doing OK, you know?,” she said.

“How often do you come out here [Florida]?,” her son asked.

“Often,” she responded. “It’s very peaceful being here.”

“Excuse me, I am going back stronger. At 56 years old, there are things that happen to people. I would say things usually start about 40 and they go up from there, you know, so you’ve got to eat the right food," she said.

In the clip, fans quickly noticed how Wendy referred to being 56-years-old when she’s actually 57. They also noticed how she mentioned she goes to Florida because she has “real family … mother, father, sister, brother,” although her mother died in December 2020.

”So this is definitely an old video because she says she's 56 and she's 57 years old,” one fan wrote.

”Wendy is not 56 as she said she is 57. She mentioned her mom living near her but her mom passed away in Dec 2020. This was obviously recorded before Dec 2020 when her mom was still alive and she was 56,” someone wrote.

”I believe this is an old video,” a fan wrote.

”Something not right. She mentions she has a real family there her mother father brother and sister. Her mom passed away. Dony know how she ment that. Like she can visit her or its an old vid. Or even something else,” another fan responded.

In her defense, a Wendy fan reacted, “FOR ALL WHO'S WONDERING IF THIS IS A OLD VIDEO BECAUSE SHE MENTION HER MOM, THEN Y'ALL ARE NOT REAL WENDY WATCHERS!! WENDY HAS MADE IT CLEAR SHE WOULD NOT SPEAK OR THINK OF HER MOM IN THE PAST TENSE! SO DONT MAKE A BIG DEAL OUT OF SOMETHING THATS NOT THERE! JUST BE HAPPY SHE SPOKE TOO US”

We also noticed she said it’s “winter,” which is true.

As far as Wendy coming back to her purple chair to host her hit daytime TV show - it’s not looking bright.

A production insider spilled to TheYBF, “Wendy isn’t coming back after this season.”

They claim production will basically transition to have Sherri Shepherd as the permanent guest host” beginning in September. The production team has an option to sign new contracts to the new show.

That’s not all Wendy is dealing with.

Apparently there’s drama with Wells Fargo after they froze her accounts. According to Variety, Wells Fargo froze her accounts and requested a hearing for temporary guardianship where they referred to the popular daytime talk show host as an “incapacitated” person.

Wendy’s attorney LaShawn Thomas issued a statement on her behalf:

“On behalf of Wendy Hunter, professionally known as Wendy Williams, as counsel to her and her affairs, Wendy wants the world to know that she strenuously denies all allegations about her mental health and well-being. During this hiatus from the show, Wendy has employed holistic health professionals to help her reach optimal health during her treatment of Graves’ disease and thyroid concerns.”

“Wendy wants you to know she is fine; she is of sound mind and disappointed about falsely circulated statements from an industry she has devoted her life to. Wendy is grateful for the love and the outpouring of support she has received from her fans and she can’t want to get back. She thanks everyone who has been patiently awaiting her return and believes that, thanks in large part to the love and support of her son, her family, her new team of doctors and a change of scenery, she is on the mend. Wendy says to all her fans, ‘How you doing?’ So, please send her positive messages, energy, and affirmations to her social media that she can read daily.”

It’s reported that the mental health accusations stem from a “former employee who is upset because she no longer has direct and unfettered access to Wendy’s financial affairs.”

According to the affidavit filed with the New York Supreme Court (obtained by Complex), the employee in question is her former financial advisor Lori Schiller.

“Wells Fargo’s priority is the financial well-being of Ms. Williams and the preservation of her privacy. As we have expressed to the Court, Wells Fargo is open to working with Ms. Williams’ counsel to release funds directly to her creditors for bills historically and regularly paid from her accounts,” a spokesperson for Wells Fargo said.

The last few years have been rough for daytime talk show host.

Since 2019, she has been battling with her health, divorced her husband, Kevin Hunter Sr., after two decades when she learned he fathered a child with another woman, her mother's death, and she has been struggling with staying sober.

As all that was going on, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, only making things worse. We hope things turn around for the legendary TV host soon!
