Season 7 of ”The Masked Singer" premiere started off with a dramatic twist.
Firefly was just seconds into her rendition of Chaka Khan’s “Ain’t Nobody” when she abruptly stopped singing, bent over and grabbed her throat, reportedly gasping for air. The judges - Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger — immediately sprung into action, specifically Ken who ran up to the stage to offer help.
“She’s choking! Get a medic right now,” he said.
After a commercial break, the show’s host Nick Cannon returned to inform viewers that Firefly was OK and that she would return to perform.
“The good news is, this Firefly is one heck of a fighter,” he shared. “She’s on stage right now.”
You couldn’t tell anything happened to Firefly because her performance was outstanding. Take a look below:

In the clip, fans noticed the Statue of Liberty - a representation of New York (where Teyana is from), a microphone (which indicates the person is a singer/performer) and the clip noted Firefly is an actor that worked with Tyler Perry. If you didn’t know, Teyana starred in Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family film.
