In extremely sad and shocking news, singer, actress and 1/5 of the Braxton sisters, Traci Braxton, has died. Statements from her family and the outpouring of love, inside.
Singer and actress Traci Braxton has passed away at age 50. The news shocked all of us as her husband, Kevin, revealed in a statement that she had been privately battling esophageal cancer for a year.
Traci's Husband Kevin Surratt tells TMZ ... "We have come to a time where we must inform the public that after a year of privately undergoing a series of treatment for Esophageal cancer our beloved Traci Braxton has gone on to glory."
Traci was always full of life and a fan favorite on the long-running "Braxton family Values" series. She's been a singer along with her sisters since she was a teen, and came into her own as a solo singer, a wife, a mother and a new grandmother. She was pretty open about any personal or family issues she had and allowed fans to watch her work through them on screen. The public was not aware of her cancer battle, though.
Traci, Trina, Towanda and Tamar released a statement on behalf of the Braxton family, saying that she passed upon snowfall this morning. Reports also revealed that the family was by her side as she transitioned.
Traci's son, Kevin Jr., posted a heartbreaking tribute to his mother:

Traci and her sisters let the world in on their super tight sisterhood and family for seven seasons, starting in 2011. They showed all of the ups and plenty of the relatable tumultuous times, making a fan out of anyone who watched.
Traci previously did radio work with Donnie Simpson and appeared in "Sinners Wanted," "There's a Stranger in my House" and "Chaaw". She also celebrated her 25th wedding anniversary this past August:
