Myles Garrett Crash: Mystery Woman In Passenger Seat Complains Of Head Injury, Myles Ruled Out Of Browns. Vs. Falcons

The Cleveland Browns decided to bench Myles Garrett for today’s game against the Atlanta Falcons following his single-car crash where he flipped his Porsche. A mystery woman in the passenger seat has complained of head injury. More inside…

Cleveland Browns defensive star Myles Garrett as been ruled out of the Browns’ game against the Atlanta Falcons today after hitting a fire hydrant and then flipping his Porsche multiple times near Wadsworth, Ohio on Monday several hours after practice on his way home to Medina County. The team decided he should stay back and that he would not make the trip to Atlanta to play. The star pass-rusher was originally listed as questionable.

The 26-year-old NFLer suffered several non-life threatening injuries, including a sprained shoulder (AC joint), strained biceps, cut wrist and ruptured blood vessel in his left eye during the one-car accident. It’s reported he hit his head during the accident, but had been cleared of a concussion.

On Monday (Sept. 26th), Myles was traveling home to Medina after practice when he flipped his gray Porsche 911 Turbo S off the road. He said he swerved to avoid hitting an animal and his vehicle overcorrected, which caused the crash. In body cam footage captured by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Myles admitted he was speeding, going up to 65 miles per hour.

”What was your speed approximately?,” an officer asked him.

"I think I got up to, like, 65,” he responded. The speed limit in the area was 45mph.

Peep the clip below:

A man named Frank called 9-1-1 to report the crash, noting the female passenger complained of a head injury. TMZ reports:

The caller was asked if there was anyone hurt in the accident -- and he said yes, telling them that "a lady" had sustained injuries to her head. He requested for both police and EMS to go out to the scene.

A second man also called 911 to report the crash ... telling dispatch he had seen "a bad accident over here."

"A girl left her car over here," the caller said, adding, "It's just one car. They lost control over here. They're both sitting outside."

The female passenger was taken to the hospital with what was described as a minor head injury.

Below is more video of the crash aftermath that features Myles and the mystery woman:

It’s unclear if the woman involved in the accident is Myles’ girlfriend, Serra Tumay.

Myles Garrett was released from an Akron, Ohio, hospital and cleared concussion protocol. During a recent press conference, he said he was "definitely grateful" to be alive and that he was "recovering pretty quickly" from the left shoulder and right biceps injuries he suffered in the accident.

"It was a helluva event,” he said. ”It's gone up and down, but right now I feel a lot better than I have," he said. "Emotionally, I'm pretty grounded with it. I think I've put it behind me. Physically, I'm still dealing with the injuries that came along with it."

He said the accident is "a blur" to him and that he doesn't recall "much of what happened."

Watch his press conference below:

The police issued a citation to Myles for failure to control his motor vehicle since driving at an “unsafe speed for the type of roadway.” The highway patrol determined that impairment by drugs or alcohol was not suspected and that Myles and the woman were wearing seat belts.

Glad no one was seriously hurt. Prayers for a speedy recovery for Myles and the mystery woman.
