In extremely sad and unfortunate news, rapper Takeoff, 1/3 of Hip Hop group Migos, was shot and killed in Houston early this morning. The shocking details inside…
As if the Hip Hop world hasn’t suffered enough from rappers being killed, another rapper was senselessly taken away.

Click 2 Houston reports:
According to HPD Lt. Salazar, 40 to 50 people were at the location when the shooting took place. The party reportedly ended at 1 a.m. but carried over until the incident occurred. Investigators said they found multiple shell casings on the third level outside the bowling and pool hall.
During a press conference, police confirmed that group members Quavo and Takeoff were in attendance at the time of the shooting. Police said security guards who were at the event heard the shooting but reportedly did not see who did it. Two additional victims were taken to nearby hospitals in private vehicles in unknown condition, HPD said.
Sources told TMZ that Takeoff and Quavo were there playing dice when an altercation broke out. That’s when shots rang out and Takeoff was hit. There’s an alleged witness account of what went down circulating on social media. According to the alleged eye witness, Quavo got upset when he started to lose money. The source said Quavo “tried getting aggressive with the wrong mob ties n*gga (not gone drop names) and dude got on his a**.”
The source contained, “Then somebody they was with jumped up and that’s when everybody bunched up then shots just start ringing, but they were coming from somebody Migos was with. But he was shooting wild and hit Takeoff on accident and the other niggas start shooting back and I think he got hit again but ultimately his own niggas killed him cause when he got hit the first time I seen his body just drop.”

Quavo was not injured. Takeoff was the youngest rapper in the group. Quavo was his uncle and Offset his cousin.
There’s footage of the aftermath circulating online, but we will NOT be sharing out of respect for Takeoff and his family.
TMZ reports:
TMZ Hip Hop has obtained footage from the scene, and you can see Quavo -- in an orange shirt -- and others gathered around Takeoff. At first they tried to move him, but then put him back down, and Quavo yelled for someone to get help. Police tell us 2 other people were shot and were taken to the hospital in private vehicles. We do no know their conditions. Quavo was not injured.
Just a couple of hours before the shooting, Takeoff posted a pic of himself lighting up at the bowling alley. Quavo had posted video several hours earlier as he drove around Houston with Jas Prince, who was celebrating his birthday. We're told Jas was not with Quavo and Takeoff when the shooting happened.
Investigators are looking at nearby surveillance video and are working to determine what led up to the shooting.
Hours before the shooting, Takeoff posted a picture of himself on his IG Stories:
A few weeks ago, Takeoff and Quavo (who recently launched their duo group Unc & Phew) chopped it up on the Drink Champs podcast and Takeoff talked about wanting his flowers while he was alive and not when he’s dead. Peep the clips below:
Takeoff just spoke on wanting his flowers while he was here
“Give me my flowers. I don’t want them when I ain’t here”

Black people should be allowed to wear expensive things they’ve worked hard to buy, be out late, have petty arguments, without losing their lives. We keep pointing the blame at everything but the people who recklessly pull the trigger.

Today, fans are at the bowling alley with flowers to pay their respects, but cops aren’t letting them by the scene.
It’s all just so unnecessary and uncalled for. People are killing people for absolutely NO reason and it needs to STOP.
We send our condolences to Takeoff’s family, friends and fans during this unbelievably horrific time.
