“They didn’t want this smoke, Dave,” the former NFL tight end told ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “They do all that talking and jockeying and I ain’t about that jockeying. It started with Dillon Brooks. I said he was too small to guard LeBron. He said, ‘F**k me.’ I said, ‘F**k you back.’ He started to come at me and I said, ‘You don’t want these problems.’ And then Ja came out of nowhere talking. He definitely didn’t ant these problems. Then the dad came and he obviously didn’t want no problems. But I wanted anything they had. Don’t let these fools fool you now.”
Sharpe and Tee Morant spoke with security in the arena tunnels before returning to their seats as the second half began. At the end of the third quarter, they hugged. Check it out below:
After the game, Dillon said Shannon should not have been allowed to return to his seat after arguing with players.
”A regular pedestrian like him? No. He should never have returned to the game, but this is Los Angeles," Dillon told the media.
Ja Morant and Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins refused to comment on the incident following the Lakers' 122-121 victory, breaking Memphis' 11-game winning streak.
What a night.
