King James is now officially GOATED!

Since LeBron James graced the cover of Sports Illustrated as a teenager, so much was expected from the “kid from Akron.” And he definitely delivered.

It was a historic night in the NBA as LeBron James, 38, achieved a milestone that had stood since 1984. Thanks to a fadeaway jumper with 10.9 seconds left in the third quarter of a 133-130 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, King James passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's scoring record and became the all-time leading scorer in the NBA!

Watch below:

LeBron entered the game with 38,352 points and needed 36 more to pass Abdul-Jabbar. The 38-year-old finished with 38 points on 13-of-20 shooting (4-of-6 from three), 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.

Now, King James’ career total points is 38,390!

Watch him soak it all in below:

An emotional LeBron broke down in tears as the game came to a halt for about 10 minutes to celebrate a record that many thought would never be broken. Watch the moment Kareem hands LeBron the ball and congratulates him below:

King James spoke a few words and got emotional during his speech. Check it out below:

The James Gang, including his wife, Savannah James, their three children, Bronny, Brice & Zhuri, and his mother, Gloria James, took the floor for a ceremony recognizing the moment.

The always flawless Savannah James had everybody in a chokehold last night.

Whew! Stunning.

Kareem wrote an article sharing his thoughts about LeBron breaking his record:

Several celebs were in attendance to witness greatness, including Floyd Mayweather, Denzel Washington, Jay-Z, and Bad Bunny.

Actress Holly Robinson Peete and Cookie Johnson, the wife of Magic Johnson, were also in the mix.

In case you were wondering, King James is not done yet:

He said he plans to continue playing as long as his mine is right. And as he has said in the past, he wants to play alongside his son, Bronny James. Peep the clip above.

During his post-game media conference, he said breaking the scoring record still hasn’t hit him yet:

At the afterparty…

Mrs. James shared some encouraging and much deserved words to her husband - “You did that sh*t!”

We are still in awe. Congrats to the NBA Scoring King!
