Donald Glover’s “SWARM” has the Internet in a total chokehold. Find out why the series has social media buzzzzzzing inside…
WARNING! There may be spoilers in this article.
“SWARM” marks the first collaboration between Prime Video and Donald Glover, the creator and star of the award-winning show "Atlanta." Janine Nabers ("Atlanta," "Watchman") co-created the series.
The psychological thriller series delves into the dark side of music fandom, and with Donald's reputation for creating thought-provoking and boundary-pushing art, “SWARM” is a must-watch for fans of both his music and his TV work.

Dominique Fishback totally slays her character, Dre, who is a super-fan of Ni'Jah, a pop star with many similarities to Beyoncé
In the first episode, we meet Dre, a gentle and amiable Black woman who lives with her foster sister Marissa (Chloe Bailey) and struggles to make ends meet in their cramped apartment in Houston, Texas. However, as the episode progresses, we witness Dre's descent into a frenzied and ruthless state of mind, consumed by delusions of guilt and a thirst for revenge after feeling responsible for Marissa's suicide.
Damson Idris, Kiersey Clemons, Paris Jackson, and Billie Eilish are among the ill-fated characters who cross paths with Dre.
The people are already predicting EMMY wins in her future:
Dominique Fishback absolutely deserves to be in the awards conversation for her electrifying, unsettling and genuinely heartbreaking turn in #SWARM.

"When I was younger, I watched Monster with Charlize Theron… And I watched Heath Ledger do the Joker and you see all of these people get to really tap into different characters," Dominique told ET about wanting to take on this role. "I was like, 'Man, I want to get the opportunity to really just stretch myself as an actor and explore the human psyche in ways that I would never do.' …And, I feel like I got that freedom to do so at Dre's expense. She's so angry."
Sis will def land a few awards for her performance. It was THAT good.

Chloe Bailey’s sex scene in “SWARM” caused a stir on the Internet.
In the first episode, Dre watches through an open door as her sister Marissa (Chloe) and her boyfriend Khalid (Damson Idris) engage in sexual activity. Khalid notices Dre watching and acknowledges her with a smile and nod. Fans took to Twitter to share their reactions and memes after witnessing Chloe’s scene with Idris. Peep the reactions below:

Fans have everything to say about Chloe’s explicit scene since she’s also staring in a new gospel musical comedy titled “Praise This.” See the reactions:
No way u can have a gospel movie for kids and a sex scene out simultaneously

Ain’t Chloe just debut that choir gospel movie trailer not too long ago and now they put out the sex scene in swarm?? That shit ain’t even get a chance

I do not mind a sex scene I'm just wondering what strat Chloe's team is on in establishing her brand/story of who she is as an artist/entertainer.
The gospel movie, that feature, the album cover, the choice in singles it's like they are throwing everything to see what sticks.

Seems like selective outrage to us.
By the way, ”Praise This” will begin streaming on Peacock beginning on April 7, 2023.
One could make the argument that the fourth episode of "SWARM" was the strongest episode.

Notably, Malia Obama, former First Daughter, made her debut as a staff writer for the show under the name Malia Ann. While this marks her first foray into television writing, she has previously contributed to the web series "West Wing Week" and the documentary "By the People: The Election of Barack Obama."
Co-creator Janine Nabers collaborated with Malia in writing the episode "Girl, Bye." During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Janine lauded Malia’s writing skills and her understanding of the art form.
“Some of her pitches were wild as hell, and they were just so good and so funny,” Janine told the outlet. “She’s an incredible writer. She brought a lot to the table. She’s really, really dedicated to her craft.”
She went on to say the episode is likely one of the “wildest episodes” the series has.
”I think it’s going to surprise a lot of people. It’s pretty dope. I’m really proud of it,” Janine said. “I’m really excited for everyone to get to know [Malia’s] work, and the work of the [other] writers on the show.”
Go Malia!
